MISSION....

Our mission is to help dogs and  Military/Veterans lead a better quality of life with service dog training.

K9 Companions Inc. was created to provide trained service dogs to Military/Veterans in Southern California. The non-profit was established in response to the growing epidemic of Veterans who suffer with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), resulting from repeated exposure to explosions and blasts while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It is estimated that by the year 2025, between 11-20% of all Veterans who return home from war will develop PTSD or TBI, with the projected rise in healthcare costs to exceed 4 billion dollars annually. Furthermore, current treatment plans that include therapy and medication only prove a 50% success rate in patients. Many Veterans are labeled "unresponsive" to treatment, and others withdraw from therapy all together. The debilitating effects of PTSD and TBI, and inadequacies of current treatment options, make it absolutely imperative that we find alternative roads to healing for our nation's greatest heroes.

VISION

Our vision is to help Military personnel and our Veterans participate in society comfortably and successfully with the help of a service dog.

Every day, veterans return home carrying invisible wounds.

PTSD. Anxiety. Isolation.

At K-9 Companions Inc, we train service dogs that restore independence, confidence, and peace. These dogs are not pets — they are lifelines.
